Articling Students
The Articling Program at Reisler Franklin LLP was designed with two goals in mind: 1) To recruit lawyers for the firm's growth, and 2) To provide the broadest range of litigation services to our clients.
1) We believe we have superior experience and knowledge in the field of insurance law and litigation, and civil litigation generally. A lawyer who has articled with us already has the benefit of our institutional knowledge. Articling at Reisler Franklin LLP is an intense litigation experience. Students are exposed to advocacy from the moment they arrive. Almost all motions are prepared and argued by students. Students assist at all proceedings/hearings, at all levels of court. Students negotiate with opposing lawyers and students and have frequent direct contact with clients.
Reisler Franklin LLP has hired back at least one student for 6 consecutive years.
2) We are all about efficiency. We promise, and our clients expect, that we will have junior lawyers and articling students performing work within their competence in order to control costs. All work is supervised and mentored. This ensures that students are exposed to responsible work as soon as they can handle it. It also ensures cost-effective legal service for the client
