Lisa Marie Buccella
Lisa Marie joined Reisler Franklin in July, 2010. She brings valuable litigation experience on both sides of high-profile personal injury actions. A skilled communicator and file manager, she began her career with the plaintiff bar before taking up defence advocacy on behalf of insurers and their insureds. In her current practice, Lisa Marie defends actions involving motor vehicle accidents, accident benefits claims, commercial host liability, product liability, and property liability. Her practice also includes the investigation of fraudulent insurance claims.
Lisa Marie’s reputation for persistence and persuasiveness has won her accolades from clients, peers and the bench. She brings a keen interest in civil procedure rules and how they affect the relationships between lawyers, clients and experts. She authored a comparative paper presented by Daniel I. Reisler to the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association in Vancouver in September 2010.
Lisa Marie completed her English and Politics Honours Degree at York University in 2003 and received her LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2006. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007. She is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations, a committee member for the Young Lawyers Division of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association and The Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted.
She enjoys cooking and travelling with her Swiss husband, Justin. She can also be found in cold hockey rinks around the Greater Toronto Area cheering for her son.
