John C. Lea
John graduated with a B.A. (Honours) degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto in 2004 and his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2007. He spent all three years in Windsor as a volunteer/supervisor at Community Legal Aid. John is the 2007 recipient of the Dean’s Achievement Award in Non-Traditional Advocacy. He was called to the Bar in 2008.
After two years as plaintiff’s counsel practicing primarily motor vehicle tort litigation John joined Reisler Franklin LLP in the summer of 2010. His practice involves all aspects of insurance defence and commercial litigation, including motor vehicle tort and accident benefits disputes, and commercial general liability matters.
John is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and sits on its Finance Committee and the Young Lawyers Division Central Executive Committee. He is also a member of Canadian Defence Lawyers.
In his spare time John enjoys playing strategy games, reading historical and science fiction, and being a bit of a public policy wonk.
