Chet is a partner at Reisler Franklin. Chet joined the firm as an articling student in 2003, after graduating from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in history at the University of Windsor.
A native of Windsor, Chet practices all areas of insurance defence litigation, including personal injury, property damage, defamation, directors and officers liability, and motor vehicle accident benefits. Chet also regularly provides coverage opinions for insurers. Chet has acquired significant trial experience, having acted as lead counsel in both jury and non-jury matters.
In addition, Chet is active in the legal community. He is a member of Canadian Defence Lawyers, DRI – The Voice of the Defence Bar, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. Chet acted as chairperson of the Canadian Defence Lawyers seminar on Commercial Host Litigation. He is also a co-founder of the annual Lawyers Can’t Jump charity basketball tournament.
Outside of the office, Chet enjoys spending time with his two children, coaching and playing basketball, and sampling Ontario’s fine craft beers.
